General George M. Randall (T-AP-115)

The ship was named for General George Morton Randall, and placed in commission in 1944.  Built by Federal Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company, Kearny, New Jersey. The Randall was part of the Military Sea Transportation Service fleet transports troops and dependents.  Ship dimensions: 622 feet long, 76 feet wide and displace 20,175 tons.
